A bizarre exchange for the penalty as well, it must have been
about a minute before Simon and AR2 consulted and gave a
penalty. His arm is certainly in the air but it’s so close in
       proximity.

       > Will Finnie had a fairly easy afternoon at a packed Valley
Parade, with no cautions issued. I do however think he has had
better days re. foul detection - there were some inconsistencies
here - and also thought we had a strong shout for a penalty when
Tyreik Wright appeared to be brought down by the Col U keeper (I
was 100 yards away tho, so could be totally wrong). We had a
goal from a corner chalked off after AR1 adjudged the kick to
have curled out of play. Impossible to tell off the replay, but
it looked correct in real time.

very good in the first half. However they were blown away in the
second 45 and the scoreline didn’t flatter Bradford. I’m sure
elbee will read this, I think you are a strong contender for a
top 7 place, but a centre half pairing of Flanagan and Kelleher
might be more than adequate for a bottom half L2 team, but not
for one pushing for promotion. Can’t see you getting past a semi
       final unfortunately

I mostly agree with all aspects of that summary, Ollie. No major
errors from Will and team - being in the away end, I had good
views for the no goal and penalty incidents. AR1 spot on, it did
curl out and as for the penalty, I think it was closer to a
simulation than a penalty - if there was contact, it was
       initiated by a trailing leg.
I thought Will missed a few fouls off the ball for both teams,
Edwards and Halliday in particular seemed to get tangled up a
lot. I also found he was quite far away from play a lot, but as
I say, he got most things right so perhaps that works for him. A
stricter referee may have cautioned one of our players in the
first half for taking their time getting the game restarted.
A brilliant Bradford performance and I agree, 4-1 was a fair
reflection. One very good team at their best and another quite a
way off their usual standard. Bradford were terrible in the
reverse fixture but judging off today and recent months, i’d be
shocked if you’re not playing League One football next season.

I think we targeted Edwards today. I wasn’t a big fan but you
could tell he has ability. I thought Will’s positioning was fine
to be fair! He looked out of his depth in a few of our games
back in and before covid times but he’s improved a lot over the
       years.
We’ve been a totally different team since Cook got injured,
we’re all completely baffled by it! Safe journey

Fleetwood Town FC (First Team) v Tranmere Rovers FC (First Team)
       Football League 2
       Referee: Chilowicz, Alex
       Assistant Referee: Guest, Danny
       Assistant Referee: Mulraine, Kevin
       Fourth Official: Fyvie, Graeme
Three main talking points from this game; an offside 'goal' and
two possible Rovers penalties not awarded.
It was hard to evalaute the offside in real time from the
opposite end of the park, but Andy Crosby was told by the AR
that Saunders was offside at the point he flicked the ball on
from a corner to be netted. There is a still online, which
confirms this, so a good spot by the nearside AR (Mr Guest?)
The two penalty claims were for handball in the second half. The
first involved a ball from Hendry hitting a hand well away from
the defender's body. Possibly proximity and pace of the ball
contributed to the no award decision, but it was arguable. The
second looked the stronger claim, ball seemingly contacting and
being controlled by a raised arm close to the goal-line. I
probably had a better view of the contact from the terrace
behind the goal than Mr Chilowicz facing the opposite way and
positioned on the edge of the area. I was puzzled that the
referee, when asked about the decision by a player, signalled
that the ball had hit the defender's chest, which would be hard
to see in from his position, maybe better to indicate he
       couldn't be sure.
Generally, thought it was an acceptable performance by the
officials. Mr Chilowicz didn't seem the most mobile of
officials, though seemed well placed to make most calls.
