Manager a bit thin skinned?

I accept maybe not the most professional response from the
referee, but, dare I say, the manager was asking for it? Then to
go and complain the referee is a disgrace for making the same
comment he did? Hmmm….

I mean for one I won’t take the manager’s words as 100% truth
unless confirmed by the refereeing body. It would be very easy
for the manager to throw shade onto the referee by saying things
like this.
If what the manager said to the referee was true to begin with,
then he should have issued a straight red card without no
further words (for abusive and insulting language). If the
referee did respond as reported, then I imagine he’ll be in a
bit of trouble. You’re not there to give comments on players and
team performance. You’re there to enforce the laws of the game.
Understand that a referee may have thoughts about the game but
you must be smart enough to keep them to yourself.
Poor from the manager and if true, poor from the referee
