To me that’s a foul on barcola and it’s clearly dogso if foul
given.think var should have sent massa to the monitor.

Personally, I’m giving that a foul anywhere on the pitch. It’s a
clear firm push into Barcola’s back which clearly causes him to
go to ground. So I do agree it should be a red for DOGSO.

Only reason I can think there is no intervention would be an
       offside in build up?

For me a RC too. I have noticed, and this is totally an
anecdotal impression, that in UEFA competitions there is a
higher bar for VAR interventions on upper body challenges.
As I say, no stats or empirical evidence to back that up - just
an impression I have from watching UCL, UEL and UECL.

Evidently there is talk of offside in the build up which would
negate the DOGSO and the red card.

Is that just what’s said here or somewhere else? I’ve not seen
       any official comment of offside

I don’t think Slot will be complaining about the officiating
       tonight

Overall, a pretty solid performance from Massa in not the most
       challenging game.
However, there will be a lot of talk about that potential red
card for DOGSO. I will still lean on the side of red card
(unless there was offside) and that would’ve totally changed the
       narrative of the tie.
A quick word for Alisson though. Simply outstanding goalkeeping
performance. One of the best I’ve seen

The commentators said it had changed to orange on their screens,
which I think means they'd decided there was a clear and obvious
error and were going to check the APP. So I think you are
right, and all I can think of is an offside.

You make a fair point. On TNT they do talk about how their
screen changes from white to yellow to red during VAR
interventions. I didn’t hear them talking about the screen being
orange but it would make sense that they checked for offside. I
do find it strange that if that was the case, there hasn’t
       really been any clear confirmation
