Much excitement in the press this morning that Colin will leave
at the end of the season.
I guess all referees will be delighted further still if he
retires!!!

Colin has been charged by the FA after his post match comments
unsurprisingly. Not that it will make one bit of difference to
him!

Nor will it improve the quality of lining.

That took a while! Match was almost two weeks ago!

He might be going for it again this evening?

Colin is contesting the FA charge. Perhaps this is his last
stand against many many years of continuous appearances in the
FA headmasters office for odious comments!

If as stated, he is finishing at the end of the season, there
will only be a finite number of games that he can be banned
for... Even less if he keeps appealing them and after tonight
whether he's on the touchline will probably be immaterial.

On the subject of Pawson, I suppose his appointment to a Watford
game last night (where he ended up sending off the Watford
captain) probably makes it unlikely he will get the FA Cup final
this year - seems to firmly open the door for Kevin Friend.

That's a very good point. If he was slated for the FA Cup Final
you wouldn't expect him to be appointed to any Man City or
Watford games before the Final.

Yes but we are talking appointments peeps who currently manage
to send the same match officials to do the same teams over &
over ad infinitum! I'd probably have agreed that a couple of
years back but the appointing the past couple of seasons has
been bizarre at the best of times!
