Agreed. The item -, 'your stories as amateur refs' - at the
bottom of this article, is also well worth a look. Hardly
surprising imo that refs in Jersey were due to strike this
weekend.

Imagine what Pawson must feel like this morning? Warnock's
comments will not help and if the moderate comments on this
forum are anything to go by, imagine what other aspects of
social media must be like? I guess if VAR indemnifies to some
extent the referees decision and subsequent vitriolic criticism,
then I for one agree VAR is urgently required.

I'm sure he feels gutted that there was a game changing error on
his watch, it certainly won't bring him any joy that's for sure.
I hope he has the common sense to stay away from social media
and not read it. He'll watch it back, review it, try and work
out where it went wrong (in terms of if there was a positioning
problem etc.), learn from it and get his head ready for the next
game. He will hopefully have a good support network around him
to give him a bit of a boost.
