Poor sanctions (or lack of) from Leigh Doughty - Hyam should
have seen red for a cheap elbow.on GK and Dennis should have
been sent off for his first challenge

Stoke v Watford - a poor game not helped by a picky Tom Nield
giving soft FKs to stop any flow.
In the first 15 minutes, Al-Hamadi rolled Pollock to get goal
side and was running towards the area. Pollock wraps both arms
around him to haul him to ground. Clear and obvious yellow but
       Nield only awards a FK.
A similar incident later in the first half when a similar
incident of a Watford defend wrapped arms around Moran to stop
any forward momentum. This time not even a foul.
Think Team Ref's performance can be summed by what happened in
the last 10 mins. Stoke have the ball in the Watford half, pass
it back to Phillips stood in their defensive half only for the
assistant to flag for offside. No Watford pressure on the passer
or near Phillips - a bizarre moment and a new one for me!

Don't think there's an SG2 official who unites fanbases for his
questionable decision making and poor performances like Sam
Allison, so not massively excited for Saturday at Kenilworth
Road. What would have been a relegation six pointer a few weeks
back is now a more mundane appointment thanks to Pompey's
       improvement.
       [/quote]
Not massively surprised by a sub-par Allison display on Saturday
as predicted. Foul detection all over the place, picky in
moments and then let clear fouls go unpunished for both sides.
As others have said, bizarre no decision either way on the pen
shout where the ball hit him. Also missed a clear handball from
Kal Naismith at the other end, in front of both him and AR1.
It's a shame because he comes across as a decent guy, and
clearly a valiant chap through his work as a firefighter - but
he's a really, really bad referee.

He might not have had a good game on Saturday and he might
indeed be one of the poorer performers at this level, but that
does that make him: "a really, really bad referee" ??

Of the 9 times I've watched him live, plus various bizarre
decisions elsewhere (disallowed goal for Sunderland vs Derby
probably the pick of the bunch) I'm afraid I've always come to
       the same conclusion.
