Poor decision to book Disasi in the 23rd minute McAllister
clearly holds Disasi who try’s to shrug him off

Misses a handball in my view before the Villa second goal.

He caught him in the face while doing so so it's 100% YC and a
fantastic spot.
Faultless so far and letting it flow. Am I the only one who
doesn't think the handball by McGinn just there was deliberate?

It hit his arm but there is no possible way it could be deemed
deliberate handball.

Another excellent performance from Pawson, who's going under the
radar having a very good run of performances.

I ustand bmb now has a naughty ladder rather than a naughty step
as there are too many refs for one step.
Pawson was excellent tonight, his usual understated style,
however as he is last to wear that vile coloured shirt he is on
the top rung of the ladder.

I suspect that this game may have been overshadowed by
Manchester City's match but this game was a cracker.
Entertaining and close with both sides having chances to win
late on. Craig Pawson had a good game and contributed to the
entertainment in a positive way.
There were perhaps a couple of decisions where had the outcome
been different the referee would have come under scrutiny. For
example, a goal kick given when it should have been a corner and
vice versa, a corner given when it should have been a goal kick.
Nothing came of the corner and all is forgotten.
I forget which AR got an offside call wrong when he put his flag
up but as is the way these days, the flag only went up after the
goal scoring opportunity had passed (and been missed) and so the
chance to score was not lost. IIRC, the game restarted for the
offside decision when a goal kick or corner was the correct
outcome. I.e. not an offside restart.
Pawson did well, let the game flow, penalised and carded as
necessary, and if he referees a game like this as he did, it
doesn't matter what colour shirt he wears!
