With Tom Parsons now refereeing at Sutton, who’s the fourth
       official for Crewe?

Wow!!! Good journey from Burnley to Crewe especially with ours
       being a 12:30 kick off

He is based in Staffordshire anyway so a stop at Crewe would be
on his way back to base anyway.
Not too far to get home and back again.

Steady game for Richard Aspinall at Solihull today thought he
       had a decent game

An impeccable performance from a Crewe perspective from David
Rock today. Barrow complained at two goals - the first there was
an alleged foul (I don’t see an issue with it) and the second
goal claims that it was outside the box instead of a penalty and
I have to agree. It was outside the box but we take it
considering some of the decisions that have gone against us in
recent games (cough cough Andrew Humphries). You could tell it
was going to be a good performance from David after he booked
Barrow’s striker after 3 mins played for a dive in the penalty
box. Mostly everything spot on from David. A few interesting
decisions (mainly free kicks) but nothing to write home about.
And great to see Macho Man in the flesh as well!! Overall, David
and team would go home knowing they’ve done a good job. Well
       done all.

Colchester United FC (First Team) v AFC Wimbledon (First Team)
       Football League 2
       Referee: Eley, Richard
       Assistant Referee: Wilson, Marc
       Assistant Referee: Cresswell, Alan
       Fourth Official: Block, Jonathon
Unfortunately, in Richard Eley’s 3rd EFL game, that was not a
good display in the middle. Quite a list of constructive
criticisms, free kicks appeared to be very random throughout and
there was no semblance of consistency, yellow cards were mostly
correct, although I think similar fouls weren’t given as
yellows. Player management appeared to be very minimal, with
little communication and walking away from players and
timekeeping I would say was a little less than I expected.
A couple of good points in that he dropped no clangers, although
I thought the free kick that led to our goal may have been
incorrect, great decision early on for a yellow card for
simulation and a correct second yellow at the end. Can’t
remember any decisions from his team that I disagreed with, so
       kudos to AR’s and 4O.
I would say Richard has quite a long way to go until I think he
should receive regular appointments at this level, the basics
       weren’t there for me.

That sounds ominous elbee94, given it’s a crucial game at the
bottom for Richard Eley on Tuesday. I won’t get to see him in
action, just hoping he has a more assured performance.
Jacob Miles seemed to have a good first half on Saturday, but
then resorted too readily to YCs in the second. Possible KMI
error not awarding a foul on Jennings in the build-up to Notts
       County’s opener.

I know, I don’t like refbashing anyone, especially newbies! I
hope he does better with you guys, especially in a crunch match,
but that didn’t just feel like a casual, bad day in the office
       on Saturday in my opinion.

Stephen Martins ability to thrust that numbers board around like
a piece of paper is renowned.
