Personally i dont see why managers or staff are allowed on the
pitch after the final whistle, they should just disappear
quietly down the tunnel to their dressing rooms/office. If they
want to speak with the officials they should ask to do so in the
proper manner well after the final whistle to allow for any red
mist to clear. The officials may be within their rights to
refuse to speak to the managers if they so wish.
In my opinion People suggesting Oliver needs more coaching as a
referee by the pgmol need to re phrase that by saying the pgmol
needs more coaching on how the game should be refereed.

Incorrect. The clash of heads happened in the 93rd min meaning
there was 2 mins left. The game didn’t restart until the 95th
min
[/quote]
Of course it was a minimum of 5 minutes added time so the
original added time could have been 5 minutes and 59 seconds.

However in resect of the highlighted points referees never seem
to take any action against those players who commit those
offences.
Perhaps if they started taking action those issues would soon
disappear.
As with the now standard YC for "holding up a card" how about we
now have YCs as standard when players start wagging their
fingers at the referee/ARs to dispute decisions? How is that any
different to doing a "glasses" sign?

I couldn't agree more with what you are saying. I regret to say
that by ignoring where a throw in is taken, obvious foul throws
(of which there are many in every game), where a free kick is
taken etc., etc. we are giving players licence to cheat the
system.
It is all supposedly to help the game flow that, it would
appear, officials ignore these infringements, however, I feel
that it is not helping the game. It may be helping the
entertainment aspect, however, TLOG need to be enforced
regardless of entertainment.
It becomes more and more obvious with every game that officials,
players, managers and fans are becoming more and more confused
as to the interpretation of the Laws which seem to be different
in the various competitions.
Do we need to get back to basics and clamp down or do we
continue the way things are going and ultimately watch the game
deteriorate even further with scenes that we witnessed on
Wednesday night?

course, it's relatively easy and straightforward to be
reasonable and courteous when you are winning. Adversity, be it
bad luck or perceived injustice brings a real test of character
which, it seems, Slot failed last night. I, for one, am very
disappointed.

I think some credit must go to Arne Slot for his press
conference today and how well he conducted himself with the
questions about his red card and referee. He didn’t talk about
Michael Oliver’s performance and he said his emotions got the
better of him on the night. I like this from a manager because
from time to time, everyone gets frustrated by decisions, some
more than others. Clearly, he’s had time to reflect on what was
quite frankly some poor actions but he understands what he’s
done wrong and has publicly said he would do things differently
next time.
Obviously, this doesn’t excuse his actions which were very poor
after the full time whistle but for him to be open and
reflective about this and he is allowing the FA to carry out
their process, that’s all we can ask for. My estimations of him
have gone up massively for this so full credit must go to Slot
because there are some managers who would not say such things.

Unsurprisingly the FA have got involved fairly briskly. All
parties charged for various offences.
The clubs have been charged with failing to ensure their players
"did not behave in an improper and/or provocative way" after the
final whistle.
Liverpool head coach Slot is charged with having acted "in an
improper manner and/or used insulting and/or abusive words
and/or behaviour" towards referee Michael Oliver and one of his
assistants, which led to the Dutchman being red-carded.
Slot's assistant Sipke Hulshoff, who was also sent off, faces a
similar charge for his behaviour both before and after he was
dismissed.
The clubs, Slot and Hulshoff have until Wednesday, 19 February
to respond to the charges.
Nothing regarding the fans on the field however, I’m not if the
FA can get involved with pitch invasions and supporter disorder?

It's a criminal offence so probably not
Football (Offences) Act 1991
Section 4: Going onto the playing area.
It is an offence for a person at a designated football match to
go onto the playing area, or any area adjacent to the playing
area to which spectators are not generally admitted, without
lawful authority or lawful excuse (which shall be for him to
prove).

FA Rule E21 covers a number of issues regarding spectator
behaviour; spectators encroaching onto the pitch is a breach of
FA Rule E21.3, so I'm surprised there's nothing regarding a
charge about it.
Unless all 39,280 spectators had decided to enter the FoP en
masse, I'm not sure "due diligence" would/should be an
acceptable defence for a PL club failing to prevent
encroachment.

I see Slot and Hulshoff having accepted the charges against them
have received their punishments as well as fines for both clubs.
The end of the statement says "The Regulatory Commission’s
written reasons for these sanctions will be published in due
course."
Does anyone know how long it typically takes for those details
to be published?
