Quick glimpse of Chris as AR on Match of the Day, and Richard
was 4th, so hopefully that means Richard's injury wasn't too
serious.

He can be seen on quite a lot of the fan vlogs from the game -
he certainly ran well, and didn't look too out of place on the
line. Can anyone remember the last time a SG1 referee ran the
line (while being a SG1 referee)? I do remember Chris ran the
line on a cup tie a few years ago, but can't recall if there
have been any more recent instances.

That screenshot is from the Back of the Net vlog. I did ask him
and he can't remember the last time he ran the line but knows it
was many years ago. I thought he did really well, he was over
the other side of the pitch to where I was sitting but seemed to
be keeping in line with the last defender, sidestepping well and
remembered to keep the flag pitch side!

I’m pretty sure some one did within the last few seasons for
some reason I think it was Atkinson , I just can’t remember who
exactly it was

Darren Bond and Tom Bramall have replaced injured assistants
this season at Newcastle (not sure who against) and Wolves v Man
City respectively

More strange that atwell and Pawson swapped with him not on var
for Oliver on Wednesday night…
Maybe in Europa with Taylor/kavanagh but gillett/england/bankes
could all have done it
