Darren Bond - Leyton Orient v Man City (FA Cup)

Didn’t watch all the game but from what I did see I think he
missed a pretty obvious SFP offence from the Orient no 6.
Sliding tackle from behind clearly caught Marmoush high right in
the middle of the calf. As much as I think City players complain
the most about little things, some of them were right to angry
that Bond didn’t issue a red card. Thought he had a good view of
it too

Even with my Orient supporting hat on, I do agree that the No.6,
Cooper was lucky not to be sent off. I thought it was a spiteful
challenge and if the VAR had been in use, I think Darren Bond
would have been sent to the screen to change his decision.
I have to say, apart from that, Darren Bond controlled the game
well and let the players play without too much hindrance.
A proper Cup tie and my local team did themselves proud versus
the champions of England.

I found Bond's decision not to issue a red card to Cooper
outrageous. It was one of the most blatant examples of serious
foul play I've seen, especially from an unobstructed, close-up
view.
This egregious oversight marred what was otherwise a decent
performance, which largely aided to the magic of the cup tie.

Bond missing SFP again ! Clear red …. IMO he was a great
championship ref but since making the jump maybe through lack of
games, but his reading of incidents is poor.
