Carabo Cup Final Predictions

Now we know who the finalists are for this season's Carabao Cup
Final who do we think will be given the final. Looking back at
who has refereed it in the past and the fact that nobody who has
refereed a Semi Final has refereed the final within the last 8
Years my pick would be:
Liverpool v Newcastle
Referee: Andy Madley
AR 1: Eddie Smart
AR 2: Nick Greenhalgh
FO: Sam Barrott
Reserve Assistant: Steve Meredith
VAR: Michael Salisbury
AVAR: Matt Wilkes

Referees who have not had the final before,(excluding referees
who Cannot do Liverpool or Newcastle games and had a semi
final:)
Sam Barrott
Darren Bond
Thomas Brammall
Darren England
Tony Harrington
Andy Madley
Tim Robinson
Michael Salisbury
John Brooks and Simon Hooper havn't done the final but did do a
semi so if they go against tradition then Brooks is a good bet
Assistants that haven't done the final, (excluding assistants
who can't referee Liverpool or Newcastle and did a semi final:)
Natalie Aspinall
Derek Eaton
Nick Greenhalgh
Akil Howson
Steve Meredith
Eddie Smart
Craig Taylor
Matt Wilkes
Wade Smith hasn't done the final but did have a semi final
appointment

I don't think Andy Madley will be appointed. He's not had the
best of seasons, particularly recently.
Of the referee's listed on the previous post, I'd like Tony
Harrington to be appointed.

I’d still have a punt at Barrott… it seems clear that he is in
line with Brooks to be the next heirs to the eventual
Taylor/Oliver replacement and it would seem a big step in that
direction for him to get this.
Or, maybe the Championship play off final.

I'd like Tony to be appointed too. However, I think he's located
too close to Newcastle to be given the chance this year (and
yes, I know locations don't mean as much now as in past years),
maybe next. I'd go with Sam Barrott, that is if they don't break
with tradition and give it to John Brooks who's already had a
semi final this year.

If people are saying the general rule is whoever does a
semi-final doesn’t do a final then I would probably say Sam
Barrott is the favourite. Although a question I’d have is John
Brooks wasn’t actually down to do Arsenal v Newcastle 1st leg -
he ended up being a replacement for Pawson who I assume was a
bit ‘under the weather’ - so could he still technically be a
contender for the final?
Anyway, my prediction would be…
