Exemplary performance from Pawson tonight, the perfect example
of an official staying out of the limelight in an important
match.
Dealt with the Richarlison/ Van Dijk handbags with a firm chat
and that settled things down.
Robathan with a poor decision from a Gray cross which clearly
didn’t go out of play, yet was flagged as ball out on the bye
line.

Superb performance by the referee tonight, i dont remember
seeing him , was it Craig Pawson by any chance.

Another typical (in a good way) Pawson performance tonight. I
really enjoy watching games he officiates because he is passive,
yet firm when necessary.
I was at Anfield and noticed him have some very stern words with
players off camera without impacting the game which settled the
players down. I don't think any cards were issued probably as a
result of his management of the game.

If Spurs had shown more fight maybe Pawson would have had more
on his hands? That aside, Pawson had a very good game and indeed
I did notice his proactive work, talking to the players during
breaks.
