I presume there is some sort of parallel assessment process for
how somebody performs as 3rd umpire, where perhaps Wilson
actually does quite well; would make sense given he also did the
World Cup final and the India v NZ semi in that capacity

I'm tired of constantly having Joel Wilson! He has been involved
in Australia's last four test matches, and now he's doing
England v Australia. And he'll undoubtedly be here for the Ashes
too.

A change for Australia v England. Chris Gaffaney is apparently
unwell and has been replaced on field by Ahsan Raza. Pakistan
International Panel member Rashid Riaz is now fourth umpire.

There was a change the other day. Rod Tucker was 4th Umpire & a
Sakit was on pitch….

Actually Rod Tucker was not a fourth Umpire on that day . He
was unwell so Saikat did officiate as an On-Field Umpire and
Pakistan's Asif Yaqoob was on a Fourth Umpire role for AFG vs SA
match.

Thought it was him!
Another abysmal display from England but well done to the
afghans who bowled superbly and certainly better than us. Like
the test team we have bad habits and not playing to the
conditions or giving wickets away. Butter I’m afraid has reached
his tether as captain and a massive shake up is required

Probably down the order. I think hes the weakest English umpire
when it comes to decisions and well below Gough and illingworth
