Good performance by Bankes. I agree with an earlier poster, if
being ultra critical Bernardo Silva would have been cautioned
for persistent fouls but overall a creditable display.

More officials are needed in the Premier League full stop.
That more of those existing can competently officiate top end
fixtures is only a good thing. From what I saw of the first
half, Bankes had no major issues.

Nobody seems to be mentioning Trossard's (sp?) lack of a yellow
card when he was lucky he didn't catch anyone with one of the
dummies he threw out of his pram when he didn't get a free kick
after being gently brushed against.

On Ref Watch, DG went out of his way to praise Bankes believing
that his performance will give him a boost in his confidence
going forward. I hope so, it was a good performance by him.

Are you referring to when Silva deliberately kicked his leg
(after having fouled him) which should have been a RC for VC
(and a three match ban) and I was surprised that there wasn't a
VAR review of it? He then tried something similar on the other
side of the pitch but he got away with that as well as an
advantage was played.
