Darren England: AFCB v Liverpool

Would be interested to hear peoples opinions on the Liverpool
penalty, I thought it was an unfortunate but clear penalty
however maybe that's me with red tinted glasses on!
Apart from that I thought he was good and I think the whole
business with Liverpool from the past can finally be put away to
rest.

The line on the offside goal ruled out - does the other half of
his foot not count then?

Compared to the penalty denied to Everton one wonders whether
there is any consensus on what constitutes a foul within the
refereeing community.

Mac Allister was fortunate not to be dismissed for second
cautionable. The height of the challenge on the edge of the area
was risky.

That's no more a penalty that the one denied to Evanilson
earlier in the season v Brentford. The powers that be said not
enough contact, it was only light contact etc. If they now back
this one then I expect Mr Webb to be on the phone to Iraola
apologising over the Evanilson shout not being given.
Highlights the lack of consistency and demonstrates why no-one
knows what is or isn't a foul any more.

Any comments on this one? Blatantly wrong positioning of the
line by several on field inches. Those few inches could have
been all the difference between Milos being onside or not. I
have no idea whether if drawn correctly, as you would expect it
to be, would have made a difference or not. To the naked eye he
looked off but it was certainly closer than it appeared from my
view of it.

My final comment is one I think we can all agree on - Salah's
2nd goal was superb.
Oh and Milos > Szobo! I might be alone in that one though!!

Actually one more - any views on the elbow by Van Dyke?

No free kick given although he was cautioned.
