Crystal Palace v Brentford - Tony Harrington

Interesting incident in the second half regarding encroachment
at a penalty kick.
Tony Harrington initially turned down an appeal for a Brentford
penalty for handball and a moment after, a player was clearly
brought down. Penalty correctly awarded by Harrington, who as
I’ve said before, has had a very good season thus far.
Brentford miss the penalty but the VAR comes in and a Palace
player clearly encroached as the ball was struck. So it was
retaken and Brentford score. No complaints from the Palace
manager and here I’ll add the compliment that Oliver Glasner and
Brentford manager Thomas Frank are not in the front rank of
managers who serially complain at every little thing.
Other managers take note - no names, no packed drill!

It was strange how MOTD highlighted one player when in reality
there was at least three guilty of encroachment

In hindsight the encroaching Palace player (Guehi?) should have
just left it! The penalty taker was about to play the ball again
which would’ve been a IDFK!

I think Mbuemo realised at the last minute that he couldn't
touch it again, so if Guehi has also left it things could have
got very interesting.
