C L PAWSON - West Ham v Fulham

Good performance from Pawson. No quibbles with anything this
evening and only got involved with cards when necessary.
A short flurry of cards in the second half calmed this down as
Fulham went for it.
A good debut for Antrobus too in his first PL game?

I think Blake’s had a PL game before. Think he was at Goodison
park?

I think Blake Antrobus had a PL match last season I may be wrong
and if so I blame old age

Quick research says his PL debut was Everton v Crystal Palace on
28/09/2024
That was his only other PL match

Pawson has been a solid, low fuss official this season. I'd like
to see him officiate a cup final this year as I think he more
than deserves to.
He doesn't always get everything right but overall I like his
officiating style.

Would be very surprised if he did as he had fa cup final in 2022
and league cup final in 2018. Maybe championship play off final?

Best refereeing performance I’ve witnessed in a Fulham game this
season. And it’s nice to be able to say that in a game we lost.
Unfussy, stayed out of the limelight and appeared to get
everything correct. We don’t seem to see much of Pawson, but on
the evidence of this game, I’d happily have him do as many
Fulham games as possible.

Pawson has always had a great unfussy style of refereeing, shame
he never reached the elite group of Uefa

I agree entirely. Some referees seem to go out of their way to
make it all about them. Craig Pawson is the absolute antithesis
of this ego driven style of officiating. I've seen him three
times and on each occasion he delivered the match safely and
with the minimum of fuss. I have never had the pleasure of
meeting him and I suppose it's possible that he's a real hell
raiser but I very much doubt that. His officiating is quiet and
understated so I wouldn't be at all surprised if that reflects
his personality.
