though.should probably give a few fouls now to calm game down

He's been too inconsistent with his foul detection. Also he
needs to clamp down on Forests time wasting ASAP otherwise the
2nd half will be a painful watch. Good to see the booking for
Gibbs-White though.

Don’t think it’s been too inconsistent tbh but the foul
detection needs to be a lower bar

I think Kavanagh let the game play out like it did he enhanced
it if Taylor or Oliver had refereed it the way Kavanagh did
people would have nothing but praise for them , I’m not Kavs
biggest fan but for me personally that was the best I’ve seen
him referee

That was an outstanding refereeing performance. Let things go
but was consistent with it, and getting thanks from both set of
players and managers at the end of the game.

Very very good. Consistent in giving fouls and cautions were all
correct. You could argue he missed a couple of fouls, especially
first half but apart from that nothing to moan about at all.
A sort of indifferent season for Kavanagh so far. Started poorly
with Arsenal v Brighton but has been outstanding in games like
tonight and Liverpool v Man City. Been decent in games in
between. Still a very capable referee to handle the toughest
games

Fantastic advert for premier league football.
Started off in the correct manner by wearing black, no doubt
pleasing someone if watching.
Thought Kav was excellent tonight, probably one of the best if
not the best performance of his career in my opinion.
He certainly enhanced the game with his game management.
Let the game flow, always in control without having to resort to
cards (just as his employers would have wanted) always up with
play and he had to put some big ones in at times when the game
was end to end.
Was consistent throughout.
Justified his appointment to this game.
Kav can be extremely pleased with contribution tonight, hope it
continues on saturday, certainly a candidate for fa cup final on
this showing.

one thing we seem to say fairly often about kavanagh is that
this is his best performance.very good thing if we’re continuing
to say it
