Yes and thanks to Plymouth my Acca was blown away with the cold
weather! 🙄

Anyone think the Plymouth goal could (should?) have been ruled
out for offside with the striker (strangely!) running miles
offside quite close to the vision of the goalkeeper as the shot
came in?

Anyone think the Plymouth goal could (should?) have been ruled
out for offside with the striker (strangely!) running miles

It could have been, perhaps with VAR we would have had a lengthy
review plus a trip to the screen and shock denied. It would
have created a talking point along with an opinion based
decision.
What we got - without VAR - was an opinion based decision and
little comment. The Brentford manager failed to mention it in
his post match radio interview and was not asked about it.
Also, how disappointing was it that what used to be the most
anticipated Saturday of the football season was reduced to eight
FA Cup third round ties kicking off at 3pm on Saturday. 75% of
the ties being played at other times from Thursday evening to
Monday evening. Even as a lapsed Millwall fan, I cannot see too
many TV viewers making their tie tomorrow with Dagenham &
Redbridge "appointment to view" television tomorrow night. We
could not, of course have had a Premier league side playing on
Monday evening because there is a full programme commencing on
Tuesday. And the replay dates the following week have been
snaffled by the Champions League. Still who cares about the
fans, as long as the TV money keeps rolling in?

Poor game by the usual reliant Bankes. Clear foul for Tamworth
not given and then spurs win free kick at the other end and
score opening goal

Apart from that I'd say he was excellent and refereed with an
understanding of the tie, so I'd be of the opinion that you
saying he was poor based off of that decision is unfair.

He was decent but not the most difficult game to referee, played
at walking pace for the most part. Let Tamworth get away with
far too much beyond hassle and bustle in the first half, but
seemed to find his cards in the second. Let a bit too much go
for both sides if we’re being honest.
