       Chris Busby retiring

Looks like Chris Busby is retiring in the near future(according
to Murray kinsella).mainly for personal reasons but the Mack
Hansen comments was the tipping point.unclear when exactly but
I’d presume at end of season?

Wow! There must be a bit more behind it surely?
He was an up and coming ref, had worked his was to Irish No.2
and had taken charge of some tough European games
       A sad state of affairs

His last game is this weekend. We don't know the reasons behind
his decision and there may be other factors involved. One
incident shouldn't lead to the end of a career. I hope Busby is
comfortable with his decision and wish him well. Meanwhile, a
reminder isn't it, that a flippant post match comment can be
       quite damaging.

       Wow!!
A real shame this has happened - they obviously need to get
Cross ready for the next level.
       Wish Chris all the best

I am sure Chris Busby has experienced criticism before and this
latest incident may be co-incidental and that he was planning at
some stage to retire. It is worth pointing out that many
referees at lower levels are also receiving abuse and not just
from spectators but from the "suits" who should know better and
should set the tone for the club. The recreational laws (tackle
height) haven't helped either as they are difficult to police
and players understandably get frustrated. You penalised that
ref but missed that one sort of thing.

I think its a great shame that due to some criticism from a pro
14 coach Chris has decided its the last straw and decided to
       quit
if he hadn't of done this he would have made it to the top level
this being the six nations I'm a bit surprised that he's come to
the quit decision and not brushed off the criticism and just
stood up to it and just carried on
a great shame Chris would have poss made it to refereeing in the
six nations but alas not to be
