Anthony Taylor - Brighton v Arsenal

Absolutely awful timekeeping. Arsenal wasting time at every
opportunity. Adds on 4 mins - I said 6. Then an Arsenal corner
takes 1 min to take in additional time (he booked the taker) yet
doesn’t add anymore time on. Such a stop start game. “Same old
Arsenal, always cheating” bring chanted by Brighton fans, and I
       agree.

Penalty? I’ve only just turned the match on my TV and I see a
replay of a clash of heads which is a penalty? Like I’ve only
seen it once but my that seems strange

To me a clear penalty. A clash of heads for me would be both
arriving at the same time. If a player kicks the ball but his
opponent is late and a moment later kicks his leg we would all
accept a foul. To me that is what happened here. Brighton player
heads the ball, Arsenal player is late with his header and
       catches his opponent.
Strange incident, but the correct call for me.

This fixture this season seems to bring unusual situations -
Rice red card earlier in the season and the penalty award today.
I think Saliba is very unlucky in the sense that head contact
often goes unpunished in the penalty area, but in isolation it
       probably is a foul.

Watched the incident back now and after seeing it a couple of
times I do agree it’s a penalty. No different if Pedro moved the
ball away from Saliba with his feet and then proceeded to take
him out by the ankle for example. Defender has come in late, no
contact with the ball and so I believe penalty

If Arsenal chose to play the game that way, that’s their right
to do so. The referee has many tools with which to deal with
this, including his stopwatch and cards. It didn’t make for a
great watch, a “stop start game” as you put it, but to call it
       “cheating” is rather silly.

I didn’t really call it cheating, but I agree with the Brighton
chant. It’s a chant that’s been around for a while which proves
       something

Taylor decision to officiate the first half the way in which he
did meant he lost control, complete control…. Arsenal is my
club, but we took the absolute mickey out of Taylor and it never
stopped because he failed to deal with it until the 45+3 minute
of time. It was literally repeated every throw/corner/free kick
but Taylor did nothing about it !
Rest of game he did ok, but something don’t look right with
       Taylor the last 2/3 games.
