Referee stadium announcements will be trailled when an OFR takes
place in the 1st leg of next weeks EFL Cup semi finals.
Thoughts? I can only see it as a positive step.

Tbh I don’t think it makes much difference.all there going to be
saying is goal disallowed for a foul (for example).won’t be any
explanation if var don’t overturn.

I think what people are more interested in hearing is the
discussion and the thinking that goes into decisions like heard
with the TMO in rugby.
This is probably a step along the way.

Stadium announcements have worked pretty well in Australia. As
long as the referee gives the information in a concise manner
and does not want to be the star of the show

With this being such an important step, in some eyes also
controversial, I would assume they will use the big hitters as
far as possible for the 4 semis both on the field and in the VAR
booth

Going to be Pawson and Attwell who have the semi finals.
