Just seen this on ref Watch and there was a full house. Red and
there can surely be no doubt. PGMOL are losing the plot here.
Worrying.

Having not seen any of the action this weekend the first I saw
of this incident and the one involving Pickford was on Ref Watch
this morning. I’m now left more baffled with VAR then ever
before. If they don’t want to get involved with either of these
incidents it would appear that they are only going to bother
with offsides where there is no high bar to confuse matters.

Offside is black and white, however, everything else is
subjective and VAR only serves to introduce further opinions as
to a decision made by the referee. The referee makes his
decision, accept it amd move on. The game does not need a
committee to referee it, in spite of all the changes of Law and
interpretation that IFAB insist on thrusting upon us every year.
All that the constant changes mean is that players just keep
finding new ways to try to gain an advantage and the onfield
official is losing more and more control.
