I dont think Piardi has the test experience although he's a
great referee and Brousset for me has not hit the heights
consistently- at the moment the nod is with Williams IMHO

I agree Williams is favourite however Piardi is hugely liked by
       WR.
I actually see Williams being appointed!!
Piardi I can see on Argentina v England series whilst Brousett
gets the Lions match in Dublin

Ridley with the performance of the 6nations so far.Excellent
communication and great teamwork with his assistants.
Only thing was there was no need for tempest to come in on the
potter but if he knew it was chest on head

How has that England try been awarded? Ball was clearly held-up.
TMO should be coming in on something as obvious as that.

Agree.shocking from the ref to award it and worse that the Tmo
       doesn’t come in

I was at Twickenham yesterday and couldn't listen in to the
referee. Furthermore I was far from the action but if the
referee gave England's try on the field, TMO has be certain that
it wasn't grounded to intervene. The referee was in a good
       position to see what happened.
In a 1 point game, referee decisions are more closely analysed
and it does feel that there were a few harsh decisions but I
cannot comment on the reasons for them.
What I will say is that it was an awful game and England were
too negative. The collective groan when Mitchell box kicked
       again was very loud!
The referee refused to wear body cam which suggests a lack of
confidence, it being his first six nations match. According to a
good judge of referees, he was too quick on the whistle, the
breakdown was a lottery and England won a scrum penalty in their
22 which even I felt it was a reset scrum. A more experienced
ref would probably have reset it.
Finn Russell has received a lot of stick which is grossly
unfair. The conversions were tricky but the truth is that
Scotland should have won, they were the positive team and but
for England's ferocious defence, the result would have been
       different.

Didn't realise until match was starting it was Brousset's first
6N game, he looked nervous but was OK. Scrums were a lottery as
were some of the breakdown decisions but that's French refs for
       you
Never convinced the players had "bought" into his style, lots of
polite questioning when play was stopped.
Somehow Scotland have got to find a way over the line. Russell
may be a good player but his place kicking and even some of his
kicks to touch on penalties were poor at best. You need a kicker
       who.is going to land 80%+
England's Fin landed 2 very good kicks just when England needed
       it.
Considering all the talk of playmakers at 10, 12 and 15 we never
       gave the ball a chance.
Ridley was very good in Cardiff - great explanations, seemed to
know when and when not to talk to players, he gets most
decisions right and having Tempo in the booth meant anything
missed on pitch was picked up
To me the 20 minute red if we are to have them seemed the right
sanction. Although Wales failed to take full advantage and
suffered when Ireland went back up to 15

Surprised that ENG v SCO was given to a ref as their first 6
Nations game - thought there were some lower key encounters that
would have made for an easier entry (eg ENG-ITA or WAL-ITA)

For what it’s worth my own brief thought.
Ridley was excellent. Communication good, decisive decision
making and very fit, a few times even jumping over prone players
as he was close to the action. Will go far in the next few
       years.
Brousset seemed nervous as others have said and a bit
indecisive, apart for the England try. Maybe he saw something
the cameras didn’t pick up but he was sure and gave it. Some are
criticising the TMO but I think he was right to stay out as
Brousset was sure and no angles were decisive to warrant an
       intervention.
I have been a bit critical of Dickson in the past but felt he
was great yesterday and helped the spectacle. He seemed to sense
that this was one hell of a game and bought into it himself, not
too fussy and encouraging players at the breakdown not to
       interfere.
What an amazing gulf in excitement, class and speed between the
Eng/Sco game and the Ita/Fra game!!

The England team has problems if they are to keep the fans
       onside.
