Barrott for Spurs v Lpool after last seasons farce ??
Too big for him again imo! Should have been Taylor or Oliver
       only or Gillett.
Good spread around, would have been good to of seen Josh Smith
with a run out but nope nothing.
Also has Allison not lived up to the hype ? As Webb has not used
       him since September.
       [/quote]
I have to disagree strongly with that analogy that it is too big
       a game for him.
He handled Arsenal v Man U very well, and apart from a minor
blip a month or so ago, has probably performed better than
anyone in the SG. You don’t get appointed to big games if there
is a whim of scepticism from the PGMOL.
Add to this, that the fiasco last season was nothing to do with
the referee, VAR was the sole culprit of the unfortunate offside
decision. That is probably why Oliver is fourth official and
they have put Tierney in VAR, who has shown this season to be
very logical and methodical in the VAR booth.

deserves city villa.barrott with a big game that’s going to be
       feisty after last year…
Brilliant to see gillett back with 2 championship games

Another amazing appointment for Sam Barrott - great for him.
Certainly our next UEFA referee and it seems our next two after
Oliver and Taylor will be Barrott and Brooks.
Trying to pick out the big games from this list…
Peter Bankes with a good game at Villa Park. Both teams not as
good as they were last season but still a very good appointment
       for him
Taylor with a big basement battle on Sunday with Leicester v
Wolves - potential to get a bit nasty that one so a safe pair of
hands with the most in form official in my opinion.
No particular ‘big games’ across Boxing Day and the 27th.
Bramall, Bond and Lewis Smith with games in this gameweek which
       is good for them.
Oliver has Man City again for which I believe is the 5th (!?)
time which is far too excessive in my opinion. To have one
referee 5 times before New Year is ludicrous. I can accept 5
times over the whole season but definitely not 5 in this period
       of time.
Hooper as well at Old Trafford with a decent game too.
For my team, we have Attwell, England and Brooks which I’m happy
about. (The last time we went to North London we had Darren
England as ref and that went quite well. Hopefully a repeat
       😅).

He's already had Arsenal V Man United (Which you also complained
about him getting), Do we really Wanna go back to the old days
under Hackett where only a small handfull of refs did the "top 6
       clashes"?
If we don't start giving other refs those clashes when will they
ever learn? Oliver and Taylor won't be around forever.

And he's coming back from injury, with just Championship middles
given to him. Would obviously make absolute sense to give the
biggest game of the weekend to a referee that hasn't blown a
whistle in anger for 3 months 🤷‍♂️
