FIFA List 2025

It’s that time of year when the various FAs announce their
International Panels for next year.
Norway have announced the following:
This week, the FIFA referees for 2025 were announced, with
Daniel Higraff and Marius Hansen Grøtta as new names on the
list. In addition, Norway has received an additional VMO on the
international list in Kai Erik Steen.
Norway retains the number of places as before, and the following
are now FIFA referees:

I wonder if Pawson will relinquish his badge for 2025….
There is a space IIRC that Hadzidakis has lost his badge…
Robathan would be the logical replacement.

I understand that PGMOL have confirmed that Craig Pawson is
stepping down from the list of FIFA Referees.
Officials were told that his final game as an international
referee was on 28 November in the Europa League match between FC
Midtjylland and Eintracht Frankfurt.

I believe Harry Lennard has retired and is no longer an employee
of a PGMOL so he’s FIFA badge will have been relinquished and
they’ll be another spot for an assistant referee. I understand
he’s moved on to a company to work on the implementation of semi
automated offside technology.

presume barrott and robathon will get there badges based on this
info.both well deserved and for robathon probably overdue

I think Pawson has had a very good career at international
level. He certainly developed to be one of the more trusted
first group referees with knockout games in the EL and ECL as
well as regular group stage appointments. By a quick count he
did over 70 international games at all levels since his joined
the FIFA list in 2015. Along with many fourth official
appointments, VAR and AAR, including at the EUROs. I think he
can be proud of what he has achieved.

On Harry lennard if I remember rightly he has struggled with
injury recently.he didn’t have an onfield appointment this
season and last avar was at end of October.was a very steady
prem assistant for 12 years and glad he got the fa cup final
with madley in his last official onfield game(i think)

He also happens to be one of the most pleasant and charming guys
on the circuit.

Wonder if Akil Howson may get it? Has the English FA made an
announcement? Always seem to be behind other Federations.

In other news - Jason Barcelo steps down as Gibraltar’s first
ever FIFA Referee.
He is replaced by Seth Galia (who also has links to the
Northants RA)
