still down as 4O on mnf so maybe illness or something to do with

Unfortunate for Oliver & Harrington who was 4th official to
travel down from NE for it to be called off 3 1/2 hours before

It's their job!! They'll have been in a nice hotel last night.
And they're not as unfortunate as when some fans travel the
length and breadth of the country, only to have games postponed
late without anyone footing their travelling expenses.

VAR certainly weren’t in some cushy hotel and were told 3 hours
into their drive the game was off.

They'll still be on expenses, though, unlike my trip to
Colchester a couple of seasons ago which was called off at 2pm,
leaving me well over £60 out of pocket without even seeing a
ball kicked.

Worst one for me was a trip to Luton, game was called off well
ahead of kick off but the stewards were letting everyone into
the ground still and the announcement was finally made 7 mins
after kick off should have happened. The announcement was
accompanied by them saying a free ticket would be issued for the
rearranged game on production of the ticket from that day - the
tickets they had just taken off of everyone as they let them in!
