Fair old trek for Mr Harrington from the north east to the south

No different to Michael Oliver doing it, or other officials
travelling the length of the country, as happens regularly now.

Southampton to Newcastle on the plane is only an hour and a bit
each way… and more relaxing!
Probably easier for the Northern based officials like Harrington
or Oliver to do a game there, rather than drive two or three
hours to say Leicester or Manchester.
Likewise with Robinson, although they don’t fly to Newcastle
from Gatwick now, which is very irritating!

Southampton Airport is also very central to the town centre,
probably only a 10 minute drive to and from St Mary's. They'd
stay overnight for an evening game anyway, get an early morning
flight back and be home in Newcastle much faster than train or
driving.

In 14 premier league games so far this season Darren Bond has
been involved in 6 of Leicester games either as referee or 4th
official.. seems a bit excessive doesn’t it?

The fall out is that Sam Barrott had a very good match and as
other RTR posters have commented, looked at ease and justified
the appointment.
