Must be strange for a 4th official to have to run the line as it
must have been a long time since they have done it with the way
you pick if you want to be a ref or go down specialist AR route

With Paul Tierney and David Coote being at present hors de

       What's up with Tierney?

Strange and difficult as it is a completely different role and
required skillset. In any role, if you were asked to perform a
task you hadn't done for the past 10 years you'd probably take
time to get back up to speed, and obviously match officials
don't have that time. Being honest, the offside flag for
Leicester's goal was very poor, the attacker was well onside,
       but difficult to criticise him.
I've said this before, but with all the money in the EPL I don't
understand why they don't have a reserve AR like they do in cup
finals. Doesn't need to be an AR from SG1, could be SG2 or even
a promising EFL AR, would give them valuable experience of the
       match day experience.

There have been more AR injuries during games this season than I
remember so maybe they will have to

There does seem to be an increase in frequency of officials
being injured during a match this season.
Twice now in the PL we’ve had assistants replaced, and yes it is
very uncommon due to the exceptional fitness regiment they are
put through, it is becoming noticeable now, whereas in the past
       it was very rare indeed.

Surprised little mention of the red card for Brentford at
EVerton yesterday. Looked harsh on first viewing and even
       harsher looking at the replays

It was only harsh based on the fact he was going for the ball,
but the laws don't allow that to be taken into account. He
lunged, at significant force, with studs leading, and caught
Pickford on the knee. I do have some sympathy for him, but it
is a clear red card under the current laws.
