Well, no snow and nasty white stuff down in Sussex, however I
think some games over the weekend will be iced off if this cold
snap persists.
Iced, snowed or rained off as Storm Bert makes inroads through
the UK on Sat and Sunday. I'm told it's already snowing on the
palm trees of Bournemouth Boulevard!
It even snowed here momentarily today! Heavy rain forecast for
Saturday and Sunday but the high winds don't kick in until
Monday. We all might need our wellies over the weekend & I
suspect grassroots & lower league matches are going to be few
and far between anywhere around the country.
Adverse weather seems to have affected the NW and NE of England
and much of Scotland mainly, with games off at Blackburn,
Bradford, Fleetwood, Rochdale and Halifax in England.

Paul Marsden was demoted from the football to NL I think maybe
that tells you what his performances are like

Solihull Moors FC (First Team) v Hartlepool United FC (First
Team)
National League - Premier
Referee: Miller, Andrew
Assistant Referee: Morris, Kevin
Assistant Referee: Morris, Richard
Fourth Official: Brown, Declan
Andrew Miller appointed, William Davis for the first half and
4th official Declan Brown reffed the second half. That’s why we
love the National Leauge 🤣🤣

Paul Marsden Living upto what he’s famous for and can see why
he’s been demoted twice, lost control.

How did he? There was hardly anything to control.

He's been demoted from the Football League level just the once.
He was promoted with undue haste after one season in the
National League, had two poor years as a FL referee and was duly
demoted at the end of 2019/20.
Even "they" wouldn't be stupid enough to promote him again and
his (very) occasional foray back into FL matches is as a result
of the referee pooling rather than any special merit.

It's not unknown for referees to be promoted back to the EFL,
presumably on merit, and Pratt and Horwood come to mind,
although neither achieved any great success back on the League
list.

I don't remember Pratt. Brian Coddington was another returning
to the sunlit uplands without a huge degree of distinction on
either visit. Paul Taylor also returned but with a little more
success.
