Well I'm certain VAR will have checked, I was a little surprise
it was cleared so quickly. For me it seemed a penalty and to
reach the level for an OFR. However, I would want a second look
to see if there was any action by Ferguson that led the VAR to
view it as more of a tussle/clash.

In my pettiness (and to have a second look) I went back and
timed it. Approximately 21 second between the ball going dead
and the first restart (longer if you take the rolling ball
restart into account). For a confident VAR I think we have seen
such incidents cleared in less than that time.
I just felt it was more complex and worth further examination.
To be fair, Ferguson does push his opponent slightly, enough for
a foul? I'm not sure, but maybe the VAR felt that the push put
the English player off balance and he brought Ferguson down with
him.
I felt the defending player made the far more significant and
impactful action - a penalty for me.

I haven’t watched it back but it just felt really fast in normal
time.

I certainly agree it was a brief check.
Good no call there on another Irish penalty appeal, normal
contact for me.

Now an excellent double yellow, Bellingham correctly cautioned
having been told, twice, to not run towards the official.

yes he’s having a very good game apart from the penalty
incident.now a yellow for Liam scales for talking back
