Too much whistle from Siebert already and I don’t think it was
that necessary to get the cards out so promptly.
A talking too probably would have sufficed and to let the game
breathe, but he is now hamstrung if any more infringements
happen as we could seeing a red or two.

Dreadful first 15 the 1st 2 yellows were pure rubbish, the 1st
was for shaking his head well if that's the bar I expect to see
all 22 dismissed for 2 yellows. The 2nd card Gallagher clearly
tried to get out of the way the Greece player deliberately
kicking the ball at him , pretty clueless officiating. He may be
a teacher but treating players like children will see this game
go one way . I'm really shocked at the poor standard

He’s quite simply not elite status. I’d be amazed if this
finishes with all 22 on the pitch

Agree with our correspondents. Very pedantic and over fussy, as
though he wants to make his mark. Would be a miracle if no one
gets a red card. Having carded so early, he’s left himself no
wiggle room if there is a mistimed tackle later on.
Picky yellow cards that annoy all involved, not my style of
referee at all.

I was just about to post the same comment with regard to how the
dickens he made elite.
A dreadful first half. We all know that German officials
were/are pretty strict when on the field (Fandel and Stark
spring to mind).
If you compare Siebert to Dr Brych, they are light years apart
in officiating ability.

Then probably most blatant yellow for pull back not given when
Greek player already on a yellow.

Quite simply a totally unacceptable first half performance by an
official who on that showing shouldn’t be on the field of play .
Here’s hoping for an improvement, I don’t hold my breath though
, he probably thinks he’s having a good game!
