6 minutes in and we've already had 2 instances of blatant shirt
pulling waved away, as well as a clear yellow missed for
impeding a free kick.
And worst of all, y*llow!

However, that was some advantage for the Liverpool goal.
Would have been a definite red card DOGSO for Bailey had Nunez
not been in close attendance and scored.

Definitely. A brilliant advantage from him there. Would have
been very easy to stop the play and give a red card

23 mins in to this one and I fear for this becoming a very
frustrating night for the players. Very inconsistent start from
the officials in terms of contact and Villa taking an age over
every restart.
As I type Liverpool score on the break. I can only assume on
that one he plays a great advantage (no signal visable on the
TV) for the goal to be scored but no caution for the foul in the
build up.
** edit TV replays show him wave it away and indicate no foul,
so it’s not an excellent advantage at all it’s a poor detection
of an obvious foul as per my above with inconsistent approach.
Watkins then penalised for going to ground to easily and no
yellow card.

Just said to my mates in pub who support Liverpool excellent
advantage a lot of refs would have blown up straight away and
given Bailey a red card

I actually take my comment back….I've only just seen the footage
that Coote waved away the foul and dismissed it!

Actually scrap that advantage post. From the camera angle behind
he clearly waves his arms saying no foul which I find amazing to
say the least…

I’m not sure if VAR can come in if Nunez hadn’t scored and if
they could recommend a review for a DOGSO red?
It’s definitely a clear and obvious error however I am happy to
be corrected if they can’t come in for that type of offence.
