Definitely a UEFA penalty given by Kovacs, but certainly not a
Premier League one!
VAR won’t overrule that…
Oh and he’s in yellow… 😜

. IMO Calhanoglu should have been booked for hoofing the ball at
the assistant ref in frustration. Other than that he has had a
good half

Good first half from Kovacs, correct to award penalty by UEFA
interpretations.
Only down side so far is the shirt.

play should have been a sending off by the letter of the law!

Absolutely, that is an absolute clanger for a FIFA elite referee
to make. The only option there was a red card.

Absolutely, that is an absolute clanger for a FIFA elite referee
to make. The only option there was a red card.

Not to mention failing to caution the Inter player for waving an
imaginary yellow card in the first half.

My understanding (probably flawed) is that UEFA have considered
this action caution worthy for many years now.

I watched a few minutes of the PSV v Girona match on Tuesday and
Michael Oliver showed a yellow card to a Girona player for
waving an imaginary card. He was later sent off for a second
yellow. Iwondered at the double standards when one wasn't shown
yesterday.
