In to what is a massive game at the top of L2, it goes to an
inexperienced referee in Stephen Parkinson. I actually give up
now. Crewe have been given 3 inexperienced, national league,
last season, refs in 3 games. That isn’t right. Are we the
Fulham of league two? It certainly looks that way considering we
had 4 last season.

How was Mr Parkinson today out of interest? I have heard some
very negative comments on his performance today.

I'd heard similar, the use of the dark arts by Crewe alleged.
Surely not?! Interesting reading Ryan's report above, I had some
concerns about Mr Parkinson's elevation after his trial game at
Tranmere last season and it sounds like he's making progress but
issues to work on..

The dark arts weren’t that bad tbf. Standard time wasting from
any team really. It was mainly from goal kicks and it wasn’t as
bad as what some teams have done.

YORK CITY (First Team) v Hartlepool United FC (First Team)
Live on National League TV
National League - Premier
Referee: Mulligan, John
Assistant Referee: Nield, Jack
Assistant Referee: Burrows, Michael
Fourth Official: Thomas, Gareth
Well… from a Pools perspective the performance of the officials
was not a positive one. Looking back, there were some key
incidents that I think the AR1 missed relating to offsides and I
think John Mulligan made some poor decisions, including awarding
York a penalty in stoppage time! Having been on social media, I
haven’t found many who think it was indeed a spot kick.
Personally, I think Mulligan has had some poor performances at
Pools games this and last season and can think of questionable
decisions in 3 of his 4 fixtures including us.
