"Smith of Smiths" Judging by recent appointments, or by any
other reliable source of information, who do you reckon is
closer to a SG1 berth at the moment, Lewis or Josh ?
I prefer Josh as never seen him have a bad game so far unlike
his namesake. However, 'the powers that be' seem to prefer Lewis
Do they?
Josh has refereed two Premier League games this season and
Carabao Cup ties at Arsenal and Wolves. He has only refereed
once outside the top two divisions.
Lewis has his second Premier League game of the season on
Saturday and after tonight, will have refereed more matches in
League One and League Two this season than he has in the
Championship.
This is an interesting statistic. For some reason Lewis Smith
seems to have the higher profile of the two but that may well be
for the commendable reason that Josh Smith gets on with his work
quietly and well and draws very little attention to himself.
Like a certain Joe Worrall used to do with complete consistency.

Madley injured? Lots of SG1 referees seem to have been recently
over the past few months
