I believe Ms Welch has moved on to a different sphere in the
world of football

"Smith of Smiths" Judging by recent appointments, or by any
other reliable source of information, who do you reckon is
closer to a SG1 berth at the moment, Lewis or Josh ?

Will be nice to see Andy Madley and his team at Villa Park on
saturday.
Hope he brightens up bmb’s day by getting his kit packed
correctly ie leaving the yellow shirt at home.
Good games for Lewis Smith, Hooper and also 007.
I wish they would share the biggies around a bit more, perhaps
it would have been a good test for Gillett had he not been out
of action of recent.
Surely Brooks, Madley or Pawson could have been an option.
It seems Scott has given up holding the boards in favour of a
seat in a warm room.

Is Michael Salisbury recovering from injury and being eased back
into the fray as well as Thomas Bramall ? I was somewhat
surprised that Mr Salisbury made it onto SG1 but apparently he
was consistently near the top of the mark/merit list for SG2 so
fair enough.

I prefer Josh as never seen him have a bad game so far unlike
his namesake. However, 'the powers that be' seem to prefer Lewis

Do they?
Josh has refereed two Premier League games this season and
Carabao Cup ties at Arsenal and Wolves. He has only refereed
once outside the top two divisions.
Lewis has his second Premier League game of the season on
Saturday and after tonight, will have refereed more matches in
League One and League Two this season than he has in the
Championship.

Matt Wilkes has ran the line in 6 PL games this season. 4 of
which have involved Ipswich.
Scott Ledger has ran the line in 5 PL game this season. 3 of
which have involved Ipswich
This seems very excessive in my opinion after 9 gameweeks an
assistant should not have had the same team that many times

This is an interesting statistic. For some reason Lewis Smith
seems to have the higher profile of the two but that may well be
for the commendable reason that Josh Smith gets on with his work
quietly and well and draws very little attention to himself.
