       Bobby Madley Hull v Sunderland.

Just logging onto RTR and am surprised no one has commented on
       his performance.
As a Sunderland supporter I am delighted with the result but boy
       has he caused some controversy.
Sunderland scored from a Hull corner where it alleged the ref
got in the way [although the Hull player managed to receive the
ball without a problem before being robbed from where my beloved
moved upfield to score] however once before and once after he
came into contact with the ball.
In the main he had a good solid game and he let it flow where he
could and never brandished cards willy/nilly but I suppose he
will be remembered for his part in the goal.
Best point however came from the commentator who said the nobody
could accuse Bobby Madley of not keeping up with the game.

Whilst Madley getting in the way is not ideal, Hull need to look
at themselves. Their player could’ve passed rather than try a
ridiculous turn, as well as the fact their furthest player back
was about 5 yards outside the Sunderland box!
Where I do think they can have a grievance is the fact
Sunderland kept all 11 players on the field. Right on the stroke
of half time, the officials failed to spot a handball from
Mepham which would have led to a red card for DOGSO.

"Ooh I know, let's play this corner straight at the exact place
       the referee's stood"
       🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️
If it's a training ground set piece they've been working on,
just have a quick word in the ref's ear beforehand so he knows
       he needs to move.

Madley got hit twice in a game at turf moor earlier on this
       season.
Maybe a positioning issue with him but he is actually one of the
best refs we have had this season

I wasn’t watching the game but from the reports I read I was
expecting Madley to have had a significant effect on the play
leading up to the goal. When I saw the actual incident I was
amazed to see how little his contribution to the goal was. Storm

If anyone would like to take a look at the BBC football match
report and read the comments attached then it will make for
interesting [ and quite possibly a bit unpleasant] reading
