       Stoke v Norwich - A Backhouse

       Stoke City FC (First Team) v Norwich City FC (First Team)
       Football League Championship
       Referee: Backhouse, Anthony
       Assistant Referee: James, Alex
       Assistant Referee: Singh Gill, Bhupinder
       Fourth Official: Rock, David
       This was a game with very few talking points, so it probably
       doesn't require a thread. But I thought it was worth one to
       praise referee Anthony Backhouse, as he got through it with
       ease.
       The only caution went the way of Callum Doyle for dissent in
       first-half stoppage-time. Other than that Backhouse allowed the
       game to flow between two sides who wanted to get it down and
       play. He wasn't overly fussy like some of his colleagues and
       seemed fairly consistent with his decision-making.
       Backhouse will encounter harder tests this season but credit
       where it's due, he blended nicely into the background and can be
       happy with his work.
