I've rarely found that a sense of entitlement in life brings
many happy inter-reactions. Of course everyone should feel free
to give an honest opinion and be respected for it even, or
especially, when another individual may profoundly disagree with
it.

Something has struck me and I apologise for not thinking of it
sooner, a Quick Look at your post history has made me think you
might just have misread the title of this forum, it’s rate the
ref, not slate the ref , never mind mistakes happen , I
apologise for mine ;)

Indeed. In recent times the regularity of our esteemed
moderators on here stepping in to break up unnecessary quibbles
and derogatory comments has relented significantly, and we all
prefer to have civilised discussions and debates in a fair and
respectful fashion.

Your of course allowed to express your opinion, I don’t think
anyone has an issue with that. I think its more the tone of some
of your posts. Coming on and saying “X referee has bottled it”
for example, doesn’t particularly contribute to any meaningful
discussion.

Using the phrase "the game is too big for" about any referee is
liable to rile most referees out there. It is a line trotted
out by supporters when a decision has gone against their team
and they can't / won't / don't understand why the laws meant it
was correct

Managed to catch a bit of the United game vs Brentford on some
Albanian tv and barrott looked calm confident and in control. 2
teams who got on with the game. He did what he had to do with
excellent efficiency
