Referee: Nield, Tom
Assistant Referee: Leach, Daniel
Assistant Referee: Jones, Matthew
Fourth Official: Duckworth, Edward
Good first half from Tom. Right at the end of the half, Dan
Leach has given offside and disallowed a goal. if it is for the
flick on to morris, it is a very poor decision, if it is for the
player on the keeper then I can understand it.

Really good game from mr nield, first time I’ve seen him ref but
if he continues like that should easily be sg1 within 3 or 4
years

[/quote]Nield was excellent throughout.likewise haven’t seen
much of him before but was very good.that is an absolutely
shocking decision by the ar to rule out Luton’s goal though and
will somewhat tarnish the referees performance

Was a bit disappointed with Will Finnie (Preston vs Norwich) as
he struggled with the pace of the game at times. He was hot and
cold selling some decisions, this didn't help when he had let a
similar situation go unpunished. I think he has the potential to
progress but just needs a bit more time and experience to get up
to pace with the Championship.

anyone else having noticed or agree that Stephen Martin seems to
give an excessive amount of fouls compared to most other
referees?

He is one of the fittest officials out there, so he probably
gets into better positions to spot them!
We wouldn’t need VAR with Macho Man in the middle! 😜
