Think Taylor/Oliver will get the semi finals and I think because
of his FIFA badge Pawson the final. I think the FA will do that
to enhance a possible promotion to Elite

Very surprised; Martin Atkinson refereed Wolves in the last
round of the competition at Bristol City, Andre Marriner also
refereed Man City in the previous round at Newport and Kevin
Friend gets a middle and a 4thO appointment, just a day later.
Methinks that Kevin is now the favourite for the FACF in May !.

I am sure someone will be able to tell us whether having a 6th
round tie means it is more or less likely that Kevin Friend will
get the Final this year. I hope he does, with Craig Pawson held
over for another year. Good appointment for Chris Kavanagh who
will no doubt be in line for a Final appointment himself before
long.

I wouldn't complain too much about any of them getting cup QF
appointments - personally I think that Dean/Oliver have probably
been the best two referees across the season so I would give
them the FA Cup SFs.
Will be interesting to see if VAR is used at all four matches or
just at Watford/Wolves.

Interesting appointments given that the 5 Premier League games
this weekend go to Dean, Oliver, Moss,Taylor and Oliver.
The heavy artillery out in force.
Those who do not understand how it works are bound to pick up
that Messrs Mason and Tierney get boards and link it to what
happened at the weekend

Shows that at this stage of the season the PL is perceived as
more important. One FIFA ref (our most recent), one ex FIFA ref
plus Friend and Scott (who also gets the Monday night FL game!)
As pleased as I am with the Trophy and Vase appointments these
leave me underwhelmed

Not Necesarilly, We Have Two of Our Top Officials In Marriner
And Atkinson, A Fifa Ref In Kavanagh, And Kevin Friend Has Had A
Fairly Solid Season, So Its Not A Weak Set Of Appointments
considering Its The Weakest Fa Cup Quarter Finals Ive Seen For
Some Time.

Not sure that I agree with this - all four of them have had
'big' appointments in the Premier League this season and
Atkinson and Marriner have had multiple big head to head games.
I would guess that Oliver is virtually guaranteed to get a
semi-final, probably alongside either Taylor or Dean.
