A testing first half for Gillett and aside from the Bentacur
card I think he’s done well.
Dealt with the handbags swiftly and the decision to card Timber
was correct backed up by VAR.

Excellent first half from Gillett… he has had to go to the cards
to calm things down and aside from Bentancur’s card, all else
has been on the money.
The booking of Van der Ven and Kulusevski in successive
challenges was correct too.

Feisty first half, and he has been quality! Showing why he
deserved this appointment. Great double caution right at the
end. Dealt with the handbags calmly. Only thing I’ve disagreed
with him is a couple of free kicks, but that’s football.
Hope he keeps the good work up in the second half

Hence why we needed him at Craven Cottage yesterday. He wouldn't
have shied away from the second yellow for Soler.

Judging Mr Gillett purely on the laws of the game he has been
spot on.

Absolutely had control from first to last minute so far.
If players are intent on playing silly buggers then cards are
inevitable
Every one correct IMO...he’s refereed what was in front of him
