Is it out the question for Michael Oliver to get either
Conference or Europa league final this season?

Very much depends on the progress of the English teams. I would
say Chelsea are probably favourites to make the Conference
League final on their side, ruling Michael out of that.
Tottenham and Man United are probably less overwhelming
favourites, but there is a chance that at least one of them
makes it - again ruling Michael out.

I am interested by Tony Harrington's FO appointment. As a
referee in his 40's he has no prospect of getting on the FIFA
list. He is not a FIFA official in any capacity as far as I can
see. Yet he has this season had a number of FO and VAR
       appointments in UEFA competitions.
I recall years ago Phil Dowd, Chris Foy, Lee Mason and Kevin
Friend got occasional FO and even AAR appointments but haven't
noticed in recent years this practice so much.
So, is Harrington an outlier or is this still happening? And if
so, I wonder are the non FIFA listed referees selected for UEFA
appointments higher on the PGMOL ranking list than their
       colleagues.

Very good appointments for Kovacs and Oliver
The big guns are in action for the qf second legs.

A reasonable bet, i expect both remaining english clubs to
depart at the quarter final stage and if one is lucky to reach
the semi finals that will be as far as they go.

[/quote]the more appointments I see the better the chance he
has.between him and Makkelie. I can see Taylor in a el Classico
final or psg barcalona.he will have to get a Cl quarter final
       though with a German team.(1 mistake shouldn’t mean u can’t ref
       anyone in that country again)

How Siebert still gets top matches is baffling. His match
control is really wayward at times and really doesn’t inspire
       any confidence.

Injury rehab, holiday (a good time to get away as you're not
missing your bread and butter games) or maybe other English
appointments to come. Our FA is definitely more at ease at using
(older) non FIFA guys on these sort of games

Have to agree with you, however he was excellent in his last
champions league apart from wearing bmb’s fluorescant colour.
