       Multiple Appointments

       Looking at the appointments for the F.A. Youth Cup Preliminary
       Round fixtures next week (Mon-Fri) I was struck by how often
       there were "repeat" names amongst the 180 ties, so I did a count
       - R = Referee, A = Assistant
       3 matches
       RRA = 6
       RAA = 3
       2 matches
       RR = 3
       RA = 57
       AA = 24
       A total of 195 of the 540 appointments
       A shortage of officials or the fast tracking of certain
       officials?

       Simply a case of who do County FAs know will actually go and do
       the games.
       Nobody is being fast-tracked through The FA Youth Cup prelim.

       One of my many bug bears which no one can answer, that even the
       preliminary round of the FA YOUTH cup appointments are released
       but the early qualifying rounds for the FA Women's Cup aren't.
       So much for the FA's treating everyone equal!

       Bear in mind not all officials who have been nominated by their
       County FA to receive FA Competition Appointments will be
       available midweeks which is when the Youth games typically
       occur. This is particularly true for those who are operating at
       lower levels (who are likely to get these appointments at this
       early stage) and who aren’t yet at L4 or higher, for example.
