Has the handball sleeve rule been gotten rid of? If it hasn’t
that’s a shocking decision
Var then doesn’t look at a player clotheslining the goalkeeper
Like most I was enjoying the f1 before that

Weak as usual, let Bournemouth get away with too many fouls, as
Bournemouth took turns fouling and should have given someone a
yellow to stop it.
Correct decision for me for disalliwed goal, looks like it hits
him on the badge on the sleeve and directly goes into goal

A clothesline challenge like that is a Red Card in Rugby.
How did he get Yellow?

What a dramatic ending, and two decisions the officials got
wrong imo. Never handball, and Joelinton has to be straight red
carded - dangerous play.
Can’t comment on the rest of the match as I was watching the F1,
but from what I saw it was a shaky few moments for the
officiating team.

Wasnt really a clothesline, he grabbed him by his shoulder but
think he was lucky to only get a yellow

For me, it looks much more like it comes off the shoulder than
the arm. The fact there's any debate suggests a VAR overturn is
a poor decision.
As for the clothesline, just incredible that's not given as a RC
at full speed given he yanked him back by the neck, let alone
with VAR. If the commentators are anything to go by, there
wasn't even a discussion about checking it. :o
Like Ryanellis, only turned over for the last 10 minutes from
the Formula 1 so can only comment on those two decisions.

That's never been a 'rule'. LotG state that: "For the purposes
of determining handball offences, the upper boundary of the arm
is in line with the bottom of the armpit." IMO this was
handball.
Can't quite work out how the Joelinton clothesline was only a
caution though!

Mentioned this before, Coote is like a wet lettuce, lets players
walk all over him and never has control
Lacks any authority which is a prerequsite as a referee

It’s been how it’s been interpreted for quite a while with var
though, it’s also where they have decided to draw the offside
line completely inconsistent with every other decision for years
