Can't believe what I've just seen so no comments on his
"performance"?
Just a question for anyone in the know
How on earth has he reached this level??

Cannot say I have seen it! Not on Sky and Altrincham not on my
radar so to speak. I wouldn't imagine many contributors here
have seen it! Would you care to enlighten us?

He was fine at Boston the other week, apart from, perhaps,
letting play continue once or twice when challenges merited
free-kicks.
He showed a little more promise than his father, shall we say...

You might need to elaborate because starting this thread is
looking a little churlish.

First half. Clearly audible boot on shinpad. Waves play on then
brings it back for treatment. Restart drop ball to uninjured
player.
First half player by corner flag physically picked up and thrown
off the field of play by defender. Restart free kick to
defending side.
Second half clash of heads just outside penalty area. Allows
play to continue to other end despite AR bellowing at him over
comms that it's a head inury. Finally stops play. After
treatment one player forced to leave fop, other allowed to stay
on. Restart drop ball to team NOT in possession at stoppage a
good 50 metres from where play stopped.
Second half, player fouled, nothing notable. Gives fk and
cautions fouled player despite not changing direction of FK
Just examples as requested. Poor for both sides. Penalty, as
indicated, one of very few correct decisions

Sometimes refs just have poor games, especially when they’re
still developing. Given the level of assessment they have to go
through to get to that level, he is there on merit.

The big question is will he attain the highest standards that
his father set….
