When I was more involved than I am now at a National League Club
the directory, at least at the beginning of the season, had
diagrammatic representation of the outfield and goalkeeper kits
up to three kits per Club

Moral of the story - get the admin right & order your kits in
time! Oh and best not to rely on last seasons kit images on
google!! Good idea to have a spare kit with you as well.

That's all very true, but I didn't think the referee handled
things very well until she had no choice. That she initially
couldn't see a problem is worrying.

He really is the worst man in football, just a pity I am no
longer at that level as he wouldn't have lasted 5 minutes.
The kit situation is bad, but we don't know the background in
terms of when they realised there would be a problem. What is
more worrying is the officials' seemingly viewing that it would
be OK as kick off was approaching, it clearly wasn't going to be
OK. I do feel for them though, I was part of the officiating
team on a step 3 game where the team sheets said the home team
were red and white stripes and the away team blue and shite
stripes. What the team sheets didn't say is the backs and
sleeves of both shirts were all white, and I only realised when
leaving the changing room to check the players' equipment in the
tunnel. The referee hadn't realised at all as he was in the
tunnel before they came out, I had to break the bad news.

Can't disagree with that but I do wonder if that had anything to
do with feeling a bit intimidated by Mr F. In. Manager and
trying to show that she would not be bullied into any decision.
Wrong decision to do it on if that was the case but at the same
time I could understand her stubbornness if that was a driving
factor behind it. One where common sense should have prevailed
earlier. Alternative is if they had fined Mr F. In. Manager £1
for every F'bomb it would have only taken about 3-5 mins to
raise enough money for someone to nip down to the local sports
shop & buy an alternate kit!

His conduct is entirely unacceptable. He may have a background
in management with successful businesses but his attempts to
control senior referees are disrespectful. I note last season he
received numerous bans and there seem to be temporary respite.
With demotion and new officials, many of whom are first years
acting as 4th's, strong action is to be taken.
Should I catch him this season behaving in such a manner, he
will be immediately dismissed.

It does seem to be the perception from watching that documentary
for last 2 years that Mark - manager / owner of Dorking has the
Panel / Conf South refs in his pocket, because amount of times
his language should result in a red card thst never happens, or
he deliberately throws insults laced as a joke that no reaction
is done, except they try to reason with him is a joke tbf …. And
the weak 4th officialling too. Failure to inform what is going
on, just means more people will copy and the problem is never
addressed.
