Very true though. I’m a fan of Orsato, but he literally can’t
run. Up and down middle, in the way quite a bit. 89’ break from
SWI and he couldn’t move. Staring at his watch 10 secs to go at
half time in ET, desperate to blow whistle, in a game which has
been far too slow!

And he blew early... if he was going to do that, then he might
as well have done it after 1 second of the first half... it was
still a draw then! Could have put him and us out of some misery!

The R16 game was five days ago - I'd suggest it may be his
fitness level rather than the amount of recovery time!

He got through it with no major errors, so think he'll be odds
on for the final

Still don’t understand this appointment at all, with Italy
already out. If they’ve decided he’s for the final, then save
him for it (he’s had 3 games and plenty of others available and
suitable); if not getting the final, then save him for the semi
(it’d be his 4th game, deserves it as a swansong, definitely
eligible, more recovery time, gives someone else a QF). He spent
the whole game looking like his hamstrings weren’t working!
Unless England are in final, playing the painful slow game, I
think Orsato will struggle to get through it, if it goes to
extra time.
Nothing major and always looks the part, but didn’t think he was
his usual excellent self. In the way far too much, several
communication issues going against ARs, gave too many non/soft
fouls (to England’s benefit most of the time).

The missed handball was outside the area, so could not be
reviewed by VAR, but it was in a position that England could
have exploited. I hope Orsato gets the Final, but I think this
may be wishful thinking. And what did the pundit say early in
the game, something like 'could this be the last waltz for Senor
Orsato?'. I think he may be right.

If he is pencilled in for the Final then nothing this evening
had imperilled that. I still think it's between him and
Marciniak.

I think the Pole gets a SF as there are less options for those
games. Spa v Fra would be most likely, although happy enough for
him to do ours. Please not Vincic.

For me it’s Marciniak or Orsato for the final. I don’t think
Orsato has done anything to hurt his chances this eve and with
it being his swan-song and Italy being out he has to be the
favourite from here. His champions league final was in a closed
stadium in Covid and his career has more than deserved the
opportunity in front of the biggest stage!!
